Betty White Still Waiting for That Call as NBC Rolls Out Post-Olympic ‘SNL’ Hosting Details

Feb 18, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Despite a massive Facebook campaign that is growing in size, Betty White has been passed over for hosting duty, again, for "Saturday Night Live’s" return from its Olympic hiatus on Feb. 27.

Instead, singer-actress Jennifer Lopez will be hosting, as well as handling the music side, NBC announced today.

This will be the second time Lopez has performed as both host and musical act on "SNL." She will be promoting her new album "Love?" which is due out in April.

  1. Yuck. I’ll be sure to miss that episode.

  2. It will not be as funny as it was when J-LO hosted in 2001.

  3. SNL would be stupid not to take advantage of the Betty White press and her unending hot streak.
She’s Betty White! Call her! Book her!
Does everything need to have something to promote?

  4. Even if Lorne Michaels did require that every host have a new project to plug during their appearance, Betty White would qualify — she’s showing up in everything! (And deservedly so.)

  5. Oh please. Betty White has made us laugh and entertained us for at least 55 years on television. A National Day Of Laughter should be proclaimed by the U.S. Congress on the day Betty White hosts SNL. Start your petition today and lets celebrate the laughter & wit Betty has brought us.

  6. SNL has a lot more publicity to get out of this Betty White write-in campaign before they actually put her on the show… I believe they are going to milk it.

  7. Interesting layout on your blog. I really enjoyed reading it and also I will be back to read more in the future.

  8. Love all the opinions expressed here! How is everyone? Love how everyone expresses whatr they feel 🙂
