Charlie Sheen, who’s had a rough time personally since he was arrested on domestic violence charges on Christmas day, has asked for a leave of absence from his hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men" to enter rehab, according to a number of media reports.

News of the request came via a statement from Sheen’s publicist after he failed to show up for work on the sitcom Tuesday morning, Feb. 23, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The report says Sheen also didn’t show up on Monday, "but that didn’t raise as a flag as he reportedly not always shows up that day."

The report says that Sheen entering rehab and requesting a leave of absence from the show came as a surprise to both CBS and show producer Warner Bros. TV.

Sheen has continued to shoot the sitcom this year despite his well-publicized personal problems.

"Two and a Half Men" was scheduled to shoot episode number 19 of 23 this week, the report said.

Sheen is reportedly the highest paid actor on TV, making $800,000 an episode.

  2. WHAT I DON’T GET WHAT DO THEY MEAN BY THE SHOW IS IB LIMBO

  3. In limbo means that the show is just “on hold” for the time being…..this until Charlie gets himself together.
