‘Deadliest Catch’ Captain Dies

PhilHarrisDiscovery.jpgOne of the real-life stars of Discovery Channel’s popular "Deadliest Catch" has died after suffering a stroke on Jan 29th, the Associated Press reports.

Phil Harris, 53, was the captain of the fishing boat Cornelia Marie.

Sons Josh and Jake Harris issued a statement through the network that said: "It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dad – Captain Phil Harris. Dad has always been a fighter and continued to be until the end. For us and the crew, he was someone who never backed down."

  1. capt harris…..thx for the great voyages you gave us all , you also were a true father in the way you handled your sons ,in the way you worked w/ them by teaching them all the points of running the ship and fishing , your a great father figure….fish forever in peace
