The Federal Communicatons Commission has a plan that could put cash into the hands of broadcasters, says B&C.

The FCC is going to propose a voluntary plan that allows broadcasters to turn in part of their spectrum and get a share of the proceeds.

The "Mobile Future Auction" was announced Wednesday by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski. The agency’s plan for increasing the nation’s broadband capacity is due to be given to Congress on March 17, according to the B&C report.
