‘Idol’ Bleeped After a Contestant Lets Loose

Feb 26, 2010  •  Post A Comment

“American Idol” didn’t have a technical glitch Thursday night; it had to bleep about four seconds of audio for broadcast standards, EW.com reports.

The offender wasn’t an ousted contestant, however. A source told EW that it was contestant Alex Lambert, who had just been told he was staying and retro rocker Tyler Grady was going home.

Fox confirmed for EW that “the audio was dropped by broadcast standards due to language.”
