He’s been courted by the networks for years, and now Matthew Broderick has agreed to star in an NBC comedy pilot, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The pilot, called “Beach Lane,” stars Broderick as a celebrity author who agrees to run a newspaper in the Hamptons, Long Island’s beach community.

Lorne Michaels is executive producing, along with Marci Klein.
