It appears to be game over for "Friday Night Lights” after its fifth season production wraps in June, EW.com reports, citing sources.
EW says the cast was informed so they’re free to look for other work after June. An NBC spokesperson said no official decision had been made, however.
Because of the complicated production of the show, viewers will still have plenty of new episodes for a good while, depending on where they watch it. The fourth season of the show ends its DirecTV run tonight, Feb. 11, but it doesn’t debut on NBC until April 30. The fifth season starts on DirecTV in the fall, and may not be seen on NBC until 2011.
