Last week, actor Adam Rodriguez tweeted his fans that he would be returning to the CBS hit drama "CSI: Miami" for all of next season, and it turns out that return is all about writing and directing, reports Entertainment Weekly.

CBS had walked away from contract negotiations and the actor stuck to his demands which have now been met. Rodriguez was coy about saying that CBS backed the Brinks truck up to his house, but seemed more interested in having a larger hand in the writing and directing side of "CSI: Miami."

One of the bonuses in Rodriguez’s new deal is the opportunity to write and direct at least one episode.
