A staple of the MLB’s All-Star weekend is making the move to 3D this year, as ESPN3D announced today that the State Farm Home Run Derby is airing on the network in July, B&C reports.

The Derby marks the first domestic event televised on ESPN3D, and the first 3D production for the network. The network will launch June 11 with World Cup coverage from South Africa, which is being handled by FIFA.

Fox and DirecTV have already announced that the All-Star Game itself will be broadcast in 3D this year.
