NBC’s new thriller drama "The Event" is coming together, with the previously announced Jason Ritter heading the show and the addition today of Blair Underwood to the cast as the president of the United States, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The plot surrounds an ordinary guy who discovers a plot to kill the president and tries to stop the assassination.
