Speaking at the American Association of Advertising Agencies conference in San Francisco today, Comcast COO Steve Burke told attendees that he sees a rebound occurring in the TV advertising market, one that will benefit both Comcast and NBC’s cable and broadcast offerings, B&C reports.
Burke reiterated that NBC will remain broadcast, but stressed the ad targeting power of all of Comcast and NBC’s media outlets. The cross-platform sell, be it local, national, broadcast or cable, will be very important with this deal, he said.
He also knocked CBS for failing to get involved with cable as much as NBC, ABC or Fox, saying that those that do nothing are looking for trouble.
