CW Developing Reality Competition Shows

Mar 11, 2010  •  Post A Comment

The CW is looking to move more aggressively into the reality genre, with the development of two competition series in familiar formats, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

“One Mass Dance” will recruit dance teams from three cities to perform a “mass dance” before an audience. Weight-loss series “Shed to Wed” will pit couples against each other as they try to lose weight before their weddings.

The CW, home to "America’s Next Top Model," has two more reality shows, "Fly Girls" and "High Society," that will debut this month.

Furthermore, according to THR, all of this is "[I]n addition to CW’s recently reported docusoap in development with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson and the scavenger-hunt show ‘Lost Weekend.’ "

Reality shows are generally less expensive to produce than scripted fare.

  2. Genuinely Shameful that people have Extremist Foreign Political Figures on our soil after numerous years of hate towards our country. The US should get out of the UN and educate all of them extremists our opinion of there riduculous ideology. Qaddafi, Ahmadinejad, Chavez, and other have far to long been welcomed to this very Sacred and Incredible land. I say Enough is enough, Shut down our doors to Hateful Bastards and Say No more to the U.N. Leave, your NOT nor have never been welcomed.

  3. Sen. Graham defines Glen Beck a “positive force”. Actually is not that a bit like labeling Rick Sanchez for being an authority on Judaism?
