Former Red Sox Slugger Joins ESPN as Baseball Analyst

Nomar Garciaparra — former Boston Red Sox’s all-star shortstop — announced his retirement from the game and his joining ESPN as a baseball analyst today, reports B&C.

Garciaparra had been in Major League Baseball for 14 years, many with the Red Sox.

In his new role with ESPN, he’ll be part of ‘Baseball Tonight,’ as well as appearing on some games to provide expert commentary. Garciaparra starts at the end of the month.
