Fox News attracted its largest total day audience ever in its first quarter, TVNewser reports.

In the first quarter, in basic-cable, only USA did better than Fox News.

The network also recorded its second largest audience during its almost 14-year history in primetime. That meant that Fox News averaged more total viewers in both primetime and total day than CNN, MSNBC and HLN combined, the site points out.

The network was helped by two evening news shows, "Special Report with Bret Baier" and "Fox Report with Shepard Smith," which recorded their record quarters with audiences of 2.46 million and 2.11 million, respectively.
