‘Fringe’ Using Web to Catch Viewers Up

The Fox paranormal drama “Fringe,” which has been off the air for two months, is using the Web to catch viewers up and remind them where the story stands, the New York Times reports.

A Web site the network is calling “Fringe 101” is streaming for free four “essential episodes” that it promises will give viewers what they need to know to join the show when it turns April 1.

According to the report, " ‘By watching these four key episodes, you will understand the ‘Fringe’ storyline and can jump right in to watch the rest of the season on Fox,’ ” the site says."
