What’s so wonderful about this question is that’s it’s so telling about both the TV audience on such a popular night of TV viewing, and about where the country is heading, population-wise, as well.
The answer is NOT CBS, NBC, Fox nor the CW.
The No. 2 broadcast network on Sunday night, during primetime, among women 18-to-34, was Univision. And besides ABC, which had the Oscars, the only other broadcast network to beat Univision on Sunday night, in the key women 18-to-49 demo, was CBS.
Univision’s big program on Sunday night, which aired from 8:30 pm until 10:30 pm, was the finale of its popular novella "En Nombre del Amor."
Who cares? This info is about as useful as seeing who came in 2nd in Men 18-34 on Super Bowl Sunday.
The Oscars are very female-targeted so it would only make sense that a spanish language network would come in 2nd as most of the english-language women 18-34 were watching the Oscars.
Great analysis.
I find it very interesting actually. And now I’m dying to know who came in 2nd in Men 18-34 on Super Bowl Sunday. Logo?
Univision had a finale of one it’s programs while FOX, CBS, & NBC were all airing useless repeats. Not to take anything away from Univision, but it’s useless data.
I love the way you write and also the theme on your blog. Did you code this yourself or was it done by a professional? I’m very very impressed.
