Hooray for Hollywood: Emmy Broadcast to Do Something It Hasn’t Done in Over 30 Years

When the Emmys are broadcast on NBC on Aug. 29, it will mark the return of something the Emmys haven’t done in 34 years, TheWrap reports.

Following in the footsteps of this year’s Golden Globe awards show–and every year’s Oscar telecast–The Emmys will air live on NBC across the country, ending years of West Coast tape-delays.

There had been weeks of speculation that NBC was planning such a move for the Aug. 29 event, after a successful similar scheduling in January of The Golden Globes.
