Jim Cramer’s website, TheStreet.com, is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Post reports.

The investigation is into the accounting practices of Promotions.com, which used to be a subsidiary of TheStreet.com

TheStreet.com itself revealed the investigation in an SEC filing, the Post said, and the CEO of the company, Daryl Otte, said TheStreet.com is fully cooperating with the SEC probe.

According to the Post, "Cramer, the host of ‘Mad Money’ and a former hedge-fund manager, co-founded TheStreet.com in 1996. He remains a commentator on the site as well as chairman of the company’s board."
