conan_tour_poster.jpgConan O’Brien, recently ousted host of NBC’s "The Tonight Show," has established dates for his live national tour, the comic has announced.

The tour, entitled "The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour," will kick off on April 12 in Eugene, Ore., and will continue on a two-month, 30-city trip. Other stops on the tour include Radio City Music Hall, next to Conan’s old stomping grounds at 30 Rockefeller Center, and the Gibson Ampitheater in Universal City, Calif., across the street from his old "Tonight Show" studio.

The show will include sidekick Andy Richter and the "Tonight Show" band. The tour itself is sponsored by American Express.

"It promises to be a night of music, comedy, hugging and the occasional awkward silence," the organizers said in the release.

  1. If they didn’t watch him on tv for nothing, why do they think people will pay money to go and see him in person??? The idiot could have been on from 11 to ll:30…but he turned it down…WHY? Because he is also an idiot along with not being entertaining or funny and he looks wierd. I wouldn’t go to see him idf he was handing out ten dollar bills free!

  2. That’s pretty harsh, Jack … people didn’t watch him because he wasn’t funny. People didn’t watch because he was on a sinking ship of a network punching a bigger hole in their hull and doing as how whose audience fell well outside his core.
This is a great idea and I am pretty certain he’ll get decent crowds — particularly from his core collegiate audience who didn’t follow him to 11:30 because of the time.

  3. Both Radio City shows are nearly sold out, so guess that makes me an idiot for trying to buy tickets.
