The Long and Short of It: Producers of CBS’ ‘The Doctors’ Sued Over Broadcast of Operation on Plaintiff’s Private Parts

A patient has sued the producers of CBS’ syndicated program “The Doctors,” claiming that he was tricked into letting his penis operation be broadcast, Courthouse News reports.

The suit was filed by Tyler Bowling, 21, of Minneapolis, who says he suffered "relentless embarrassment and harassment" following last year’s broadcast.

Bowling was treated with laser surgery for harmless "pearly penile papules." He said that Dr. William Groff of La Jolla offered to treat him for free if he would discuss his condition on the show. He says he tried to back out when he realized that the show would be broadcast nationwide and that there was a live studio audience, but was tricked into going through with it.

The defendants are Groff, La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre, CBS Television Distribution, Stage 29 Media Productions, and  Lumenis Co2.
