TiVo Unveils New DVR with Broadband

TiVo, attempting to woo back some of its fleeing subscribers, will begin offering a new set-top DVR that combines TV program listings with Web offerings, reports The New York Times.

Users of the box, called TiVo Premiere, will be able to search for their shows, but also related offerings available for rent through Netflix, clips on YouTube and merchandise from Amazon or other online retailers.

The box will go on sale in April at a price of $300 for the standard version and $500 for one with extra storage. Monthly fees begin at $12.95.
