"Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre announced today that instead of doing 24 episodes this season, there will be only 22 shows, reports the New York Times. The move was expected.

The original plan was for 24 shows, but Charlie Sheen’s stint in rehab resulted in the cut back.

Lorre told the Times, “But 22 is a full order. They had asked us to produce two additional episodes, which we normally do. But we won’t do it this year.”
