Versus Channel Returns to DirecTV

Mar 16, 2010  •  Post A Comment

It took more than six months, but Comcast’s sports channel, Versus, is back on DirecTV, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The channel was MIA for DirecTV for most of the college football season, as a result of a standoff between the two sides. DirecTV said the fight was over carriage fees; Comcast said the battle was about whether DirecTV would move the channel to a specialty tier reaching fewer viewers.

The deal that was struck leaves Versus on its original tier reaching most viewers, the paper said.
