Wisteria Lane Says Goodbye to One of the ‘Housewives’ In May

The street on ABC’s "Desperate Housewives" is about to get a little less crowded in May, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Emmy-award winning actress Drea de Mateo is leaving "Housewives" after just one season.

Marc Cherry, "Housewives" creator, wanted it known that de Mateo has not been fired. She had only committed to one season because her home is in New York and the show is filmed in Los Angeles.

Cherry intimated that de Mateo’s character will have a dramatic exit, perhaps involving the new actor on the show, John Barrowman.

  1. We’ll be down two if, as rumored, Dana Delaney leaves as well.

  2. John Barrowman? Captain Jack is coming to Wisteria Lane? Is the TARDIS going to land in Lynette’s backyard?

  3. Informative article! Do you have any opinions that you maybe willing to voice in order to explain your second part a bit more? thanks a lot
