A cast member of HBO’s "Big Love" has been cast in the lead role for an AMC drama pilot "The Killing," Deadline.com reports.

Mireille Enos will play Sarah, a lead homicide detective who investigates the murder of a young girl in Seattle. The project, based on the Danish program "Forbrydelsen," is described as "The Wire" crossed with "Prime Suspect."

Enos has been featured in "Big Love" in the recurring roles of twin sisters Kathy and Jodean Marquart.
