Broadcasters Request More Time From FCC to Make Retrans Comments

The National Association of Broadcasters has asked the FCC for a 30-day extension to make comments on a petition to revise its retransmission consent rules, B&C reports.

The extra time would would extend the comment period until May 18 and allow replies to those comments until June 3.A group of cable and satellite operators led by Time Warner has asked the FCC to require independent arbitration for retrans disputes, among other items. After the request, the FCC asked for comments a few days later.
