Will Tonight’s Taping Be Sheen’s Last ‘Two and a Half Men’? He Denies Last-Minute Negotiating Tactic

Countering media reports about how he’s using tonight’s (Friday, April 9) last filming of the hit CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" for the season as a ploy to get more money for next season from the production company and the network, Sheen has issued a statement that sets the record straight, reports People Magazine.

“All of the numbers reported in the press are false. Claims from ‘inside sources’ regarding offers from the studio as well as my salary, on their best day, are without merit. Approaching the start of the current season and as far back as June ‘09, I submitted my terms for season eight to Warner Bros. and CBS respectfully. …In no way, has this been a hasty or negligent eleventh hour surprise."

Sheen’s current contact with the sitcom ends with tonight’s taping.

In conclusion, Sheen wrote, “If tonight’s show is the end for me as Charlie Harper, so be it. Another journey has begun. I take from the experience 161 shows filled with a kaleidoscope of amazing experiences, memories, friendships and gratitude. I remain humbly inspired.”

  1. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
