Yet questions persist about Toole — he had claimed credit for other murders which he didn’t commit — and new evidence may suggest Walsh’s son was the victim of notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, People reports.

Witnesses claim to have seen Dahmer with Walsh’s son at the mall where the boy was taken, the article says. During the time when the child disappeared, Dahmer was living just 20 miles from the shopping center, and another witness says he saw Dahmer forcing a crying boy into a van on the day he was abducted, People reports. Still, when Dahmer was questioned about the case he said he had nothing to do with it.
