Executives at A&E have given the title of president and general manager of Lifetime Networks to current History Channel president and GM Nancy Dubuc, The Wrap reports. 

Dubuc will keep her title and role at History Channel in addition to her new role with Lifetime. 

Industry experts believed Dubuc was on the short list for the position at Lifetime even before the channel’s former head Andrea Wong left the role in February. 

Dubuc has helped reform History Channel, greenlighting network hits "Ice Road Truckers" and "Pawn Stars." She was also involved in getting "Intervention" and "Growing Up Gotti" to air on A&E.
