MSNBC Makes It Official: David Shuster Suspended

Apr 6, 2010  •  Post A Comment

David Shuster, MSNBC reporter and fill-in anchor, has been officially suspended indefinitely by the network, reports Popeater.com.

As previously reported, MSNBC discovered that Shuster had participated in a CNN pilot for a new TV series co-anchored by NPR’s Michel Martin without getting permission from MSNBC to do this. This is not the first time Shuster has been suspended. He was benched in 2008 during the election coverage when he said something inappropriate about Hillary Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea.

This time, according to the article, MSNBC President Phil Griffin was very upset that Shuster had been exploring options with the competition while under contract to MSNBC.
