Two months after launching a review of their character licensing business, media giant E.W. Scripps has sold United Media Licensing — which includes the Charles Schulz "Peanuts" line — to Iconix Brand Group — formerly known as Candie’s — for $175 million, according to Mediaweek

Iconix includes the brands Candie’s, Bongo, Badgley Mischka, Joe Boxer, London Fog, Danskin, Fieldcrest and Charisma among others.

Scripps will hold onto the syndicated editorial features of United Media.
