Ratings for The Masters Golf Tourney on Sunday Best in Nine Years

The final round of The Masters golf tournament, featuring the return of Tiger Woods to the links and a competitive final day with the popular Phil Mickelson charging, was ratings gold.

"The final round of coverage generated the highest ratings in nine years – and was 36% boost in viewership over last year," the New York Daily News reports.

The all-time highest-rated final round of a golf tournament was the the year Woods won his first Masters, in 1997.

In second place is the second time Woods won the Masters, in 2001.
