Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has earned an estimated $12 million from TV and a book deal since leaving office, ABC News reports.

The figure is a "conservative estimate," and based on public records and news accounts, the article says. She’s earning about $250,000 per episode for her reality show on TLC (there are eight installments) and reportedly received $7 million for her first book deal.

Still, it’s unclear how much she’s earning from her Fox News contract or a second book deal, the article adds. On top of that, Palin pulls in about $100,000 in speaking fees per event.

  1. Palin owes it all to McCain picking her as a running mate. Had that event not occurred, she would still be an unknown Governor talking for free at PTA meetings.

  2. Who cares how much money she makes. I thought we lived in a democracy, where you were encouraged to be all that you can be. If Mrs. Palin is able to figure out a way to make a lot of money legally, more power to her.

  3. Neat blog layout! Very easy on the eyes.. i like the colors you picked out
