Sunbeam Antitrust Case Against Nielsen Scheduled for December

Sunbeam Television day in court, against Nielsen, wherein Sunbeam is alleging that Nielsen is effectively a monopoly that overcharges its customers and undercounts television viewers, has been scheduled,  Media Daily News reports.

The company’s antitrust case against Nielsen has been scheduled for Dec. 6 in Federal District Court in Miami, where it will be heard by the same judge who turned down Nielsen’s attempt to dismiss the case, the publication says.

A settlement in the case in not without recedent, the article says. Nielsen settled an antitrust case with erinMedia in 2008 for undisclosed terms.
