Talk Show King Doesn’t Talk About Biggest Story, His Divorce; No Prenup?

Apr 16, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Given Larry King’s history of divorces–he’s been married eight times (twice to the same woman), it’s surprising to learn that he’s entering his latest without a prenuptial agreement. That’s the word from the New York Post.

Because of that, his latest wife, Shawn Southwick, will seek half of King’s estimated $144 million net worth, the report says.

CNN staffers are saying money issues given the divorce will make it less likely King would leave the ratings-hurting network, where King is in the middle of a four-year, $56 million contract, according to the Post.

King showed up for work on Wednesday, but didn’t talk about the latest drama in his life, RadarOnline.com reports. Instead, he interviewed Pamela Anderson about behind-the-scenes issues on "Dancing With the Stars," asking questions such as whether producers ask her to wear underwear during her dancing routines (she said she indeed wears underwear).

  1. Oh, no..so this means King is MORE likely to continue on at CNN? His show is sadly on cruise control. King’s age is showing and he can make the oddest, most out-of-touch remarks and sometimes doesn’t seem to know who he is even talking to. His bookers are stuck in a continuous loop of tired guests – Suzanne Somers, Jenny McCarthy, the monthly round table of UFO Kooks/UFO doubters filled in with pounding the latest tabloid-scandal story straight into the ground too many nights in a row.

  2. Larry’s Producers need to have shorter interviews with much more variety. There are still a few people under 60-years-old watching TV and you would never know it by the guest list on Larry’s show. Change to three guests a night appealing to a wider range of people. The exceptions are when there is real breaking news and then dedicate the show. Betty White making SNL is not the breaking news I mean
