Which of Nicollette Sheridan’s Claims Could Find Success in Court; Eva Logoria’s Reaction to the Suit

There is one particular part of Nicollette Sheridan’s lawsuit against Marc Cherry that could prove to be more likely a winner for her than the rest of her allegations, according to the THR, Esq. blog, which bills itself as "the intersection of hollywood and law."

According to the article, "Sheridan could still succeed on her claim for retaliatory termination, if only because ‘the bar is lower for proof of retaliation claims than it is for discrimination claims,’ says Louis Klein, an employer-side specialist in the L.A. office of Meyers Nave. ‘All you really have to show to get to a trial is that you complained about something you believed to be illegal, and shortly after that there were some adverse employment consequences.’ "

As previously reported, Sheridan filed a lawsuit against Cherry, the creator and showrunner of  ABC’s "Desperate Housewives" alleging, among other things, that her character’s being killed off in the show was in retaliation for her complaining that Cherry had hit her on the set.

Wednesday, on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, another ‘Housewives" star, Eva Longoria, said the situation really "confused" her, People.com reports.

The article continues, "While Longoria Parker, 35, says she doesn’t know the details of the alleged incident, ‘I know they did have a thing on set,’ she says, adding that Cherry ‘probably could not harm a fly.’
