YouTube Chief Sees a Future Dominated by Internet-Provided Content

Apr 19, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Chad Hurley, co-founder and chief executive officer of YouTube, sees the growing use of Wi-Fi equipped devices as a great thing for YouTube, as the video site giant looks to be seen on the same level as television, the Telegraph reports.

Hurley said different Internet-capable media devices like mobile phones and computers were quickly converging, growing revenue streams for his site. "More minutes on our site equals more money," he said.

He said video distribution is just becoming one medium, as televisions become equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities, and added that he fails to see a future where most video and content isn’t provided over the Internet.
