In an effort to boost the network’s environmental image, CBS has bought EcoMedia, a company that has been organizing and launching environmental programs — including some for CBS stations — since 2008, reports B&C.
CBS is hoping the new green will add up to increased ad revenue from green-oriented products.
EcoMedia’s web site has already been altered to reflect the CBS brand, becoming www.ecomediacbs.com; it is now a CBS company. EcoMedia’s founder, Paul Polizzotto, will remain with the company.
