CBS Sitcoms Trump Dancing in Monday Nielsens

The top shows of Monday night were CBS’ "Two and a Half Men" and "The Big Bang Theory," scoring a 4.6 and 5.2, respectively, in the 18-49 demographic from 9-10 p.m., reports TVbytheNumbers.com.

Starting off the night at 8, ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" earned a 3.7, just ahead of Fox’s "House" with a 3.6, CBS’ "How I Met Your Mother" and "Rules of Engagement" with a 3.3 and 3.2, respectively, NBC’s "Chuck" with a 1.9, and CW’s "One Tree Hill" with a 1.1.

ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" second hour at nine scored a 4.3 in the 18-49 rating, behind the two CBS sitcoms. Fox’s "24" had a 2.7, and CW’s "Gossip Girl" managed a 0.9 for the hour.

CBS’ "CSI: Miami" won at 10 o’clock with a 3.3 in the 18-49 rating, topping ABC’s "Castle" with a 2.6 and NBC’s "Law & Order" with a 1.7.

  1. I understand the way that TV and the ad game work, but it seems ludicrous to me to write this article without mentioning that in terms of total viewers, DWTS & ABC literally clobbered everyone else. More of those viewers are apparently 49 and older, but cripes! They’re not dead.
