Conan-Produced NBC Legal Drama Looking Good for Midseason Start

May 13, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Conan O’Brien and NBC just can’t seem to completely cut ties, as Conan’s production company has a legal drama that is in serious contention for a midseason slot on the network, Deadline.com reports.

"Garza," starring Jimmy Smits, has supposedly divided the NBC brass, but NBC Universal President and CEO Jeff Zucker and the network’s marketing team are in favor of the show. Smits tested well, but if the series does get a midseason order, retooling would occur on the show.

Smits was considered to move over to "Law & Order: LA," but the idea wasn’t received well, which only helps "Garza."

  1. Hopefully this will be the right vehicle for Smits. We have missed him on a regular show. His brief season on Dexter just reinforced how great it would be to have him weekly in a strong lead role.

  2. I had a web site on this subject, but it got spammed so bad I had to shut it. You seem to be better at weeding out the spam! Congratulations!

  3. Interesting post, thanks. Can you explain the third point in a little more detail please?
