‘Lost’ Ratings In: Did ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Finale Poison Ratings for ‘Lost’ Finale?

Did the return of  Poison frontman Bret Michaels to "Celebrity Apprentice" dampen the ratings for the much-hyped finale of "Lost"? Perhaps.

According to TVbytheNumbers.com, "We don’t have ratings data for the final half hour of the "Lost" finale, but the overall numbers for 9-11:30pm were a 5.8 adults 18-49 rating and 13.5 million average viewers."

The show has been averaging a 5.5 rating in that demo this season. Still, it was the highest rated episode of "Lost" in at least two seasons.

According to the article, "While lacking the Internet buzz of the ‘Lost’ finale, the season finale of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ was up 48% vs. last week, scoring a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating, that’s also up 10% vs. last season’s finale, and the best ratings of the three ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ finales to air on a Sunday."

Michaels had been suffering from a brain hemorrhage recently, which put his life, yet alone his future on ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ in doubt.

  1. Are you carzy? The people who watched “Lost” are too smart to watch “Celebrity/ Apprentice”. Besides, after investing 6 years you are going to watch another show and miss the series finale? Really?

  2. Oh, please. Spare me the snobbery. A lot of people smartly stopped watching “Lost” years ago when the writers clearly demonstrated they were far more interested in mythology than mystery.

  3. Celebrity Apprentice is just plain crap. One minute of Donald Trump on tv is one minute too much.

  4. Two separate audiences. Lost, like 24, was not going to get a huge lift by just running a finale. There is too much backstory through the season for casual viewers to drop in for the finale. Apprentice could grab some casual viewers as there is on requirement to do anything more than follow the tabloids to have some interest in seeing Bret Michaels and Donald Trump.

  5. Lovely! 😀 😀

  6. What kind of matter really, thank you for sharing, we have a common interest.
