Dish Network will create a "TV Everywhere" Internet destination later this year that will allow its customers to watch television on Internet-connected devices, Multichannel News reports.
The project will first include some users through an "invitation-only" test, and widen it to include more customers through the summer and into September. Dish would be working to catch up to Comcast, the only pay-TV operator that’s offering a TV-anywhere-type service through its Fancast Xfinity video site. Other pay-TV operators are testing similar services, ranging from Time Warner Cable to AT&T. All I can really say is, like the rest of the industry, TV Everywhere is important to us," said Bruce Eisen, vice president of online content development and strategy at Dish Network.
