‘Family Feud’ Moving Production from L.A. to Orlando

May 10, 2010  •  Post A Comment

The syndicated version of "Family Feud" is moving to Orlando, Florida, where the game show will shoot new episodes at Universal Studios with new host Steve Harvey, reports B&C

The new location offers advantages over Los Angeles. Harvey tapes his daily radio show in Atlanta, making a commute to Orlando easier than to California.

And culling audiences from the 15,000 to 30,000 people who attend Universal Studios’ theme parks may be easier than finding people walking along Hollywood’s streets. Universal Studios will also market the show in the park, through brochures and to season ticket-holders.

With Florida lawmakers about to pass a production tax-credit, it may become even less expensive for producer FremantleMedia North America to tape the program in Orlando.
