Sam Champion, the weather anchor on ABC’s "Good Morning America," will have a skin cancer removed live on the program Wednesday, reports TVNewser.com.

In a recent examination, Champion learned he had a basal cell carcinoma on his shoulder. He’s decided to have it removed on the program to alert watchers about the possible effects of skin cancers like this one. While the cancer is not considered dangerous, it is fairly common.
