One of John Grisham’s most successful legal novels, "The Firm," may soon become a TV series, reports Deadline.com.

The book, which was a box office hit in 1993 directed by Sydney Pollack and starring Tom Cruise, has become a viable project again even though CBS tried in vain to launch it as a series two years ago.

E1 Entertainment has a pilot script by Lukas Reiter prepared which is being targeted primarily for cable.  Supposedly, there is already interest from at least one cable net.
