KNBC-TV, an owned-and-operated NBC station in Los Angeles, lost news director Steve Lange, who resigned after about three months at the station, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

Lange decided to return to his independent production company, Steve Lange Productions. He’ll be replaced on an interim basis by Susan Tully, who is described by station executives as "an experienced journalist and news leader from our Dallas station," until a permanent replacement is found.
