Ratings In for Jack Bauer’s TV Goodbye on ’24’

After eight seasons, the innovative "24," wherein each hour-long episode actually took place during an hour of real time, had its series ending 2-hour finale on Monday night, May 24.

The show, on Fox,  averaged "a 2.7 with adults 18-49 from 8p-10p and 8.85 million viewers," according to TVbytheNumbers.

Shows doing better than "24" did Monday night include ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars," with a 4.0 rating with adults 18-49, and  19.08 million viewers; ABC’s "The Bachlorette" premiere, with a 2.8 rating in the demo and 13. 7 million viewers; as well as CBS’ entire Monday night lineup.

  1. The 2009-2010 season may be remembered as the last great year of innovative TV. Ugly Betty, 24, LOST, Law and Order. A lot of great original and creative programs are leaving the air. Being replaced by classics like “Holly’s World”.
