Alleged White House Party-Crashers the Salahis to Be Featured in ‘Real Housewives of D.C.’

It turns out that crashing a party at the White House won’t get you a reality show, but it won’t get you kicked off one either, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

Michaele Salahi and her husband Tareq were already embedded in "The Real Housewives of D.C." when they appeared at a state dinner last year and were not given roles because of their alleged gate-crashing at the event, the article states. While the Salahis say they were invited, state and federal investigations have yet to divulge their findings.

Bravo’s new "Housewives" show, which will debut Aug. 5, will include the events leading up the state dinner, although it won’t include what happened once the Salahis were inside because the "Housewives" producers didn’t have credentials to get in. Other cast members of the show include Mary Schmidt Amons, granddaughter of the late radio and TV personality Arthur Godfrey, and Stacie Scott Turner, a philanthropist and political fundraiser.

How insipid can television become? Here’s your answer.

  2. This is too bad. It just encourages more of this kind of behavior and leads to things like sending 16-year-old kids on dangerous boat trips around the world to get attention.
