"Big Bang Theory" has sold in eight additional markets by Warner Bros., while pricing remains close or even higher than those secured by "Two and a Half Men," reports B&C.
"Two and a Half Men" was sold for about $4 million an episode in 2006, the story says. "Big Bang," meanwhile, was purchased by Tribune for three markets: WXIN-TV/WTTV-TV in Indianapolis, WTIC-TV in the Hartford-New Haven, Conn. market and WNOL-TV New Orleans.
CBS, which broadcasts the show on its network on Monday nights, bought the program for KSTW-TV Seattle-Tacoma and WBZ-TV/WSBK-TV Boston.
Other stations that bought the show include WPCH-TV, an independent owned by Time Warner in Atlanta; Local TV’s Fox affiliate KDVR-TV in Denver; and Bahakel’s Fox affiliate WCCB-TV in Charlotte, N.C., the story says.
