Fox News, Bloomberg in the Running for Helen Thomas’ Front-Row White House Seat

With Helen Thomas retiring abruptly after her controversial remarks about Israel last week, a race to fill her front-row seat has been set off, the New York Post reports.

Fox News Channel and Bloomberg News are in the running for the coveted front-row seat in the White House briefing room, where presidential press conferences are held.

While Bloomberg is the only wire service without a front-row presence, Fox News Channel is the sole TV network without a place in the first row. The White House Correspondents Association will meet on Thursday to debate which organization will fill the seat.
